Challenger SRT Hellcat
We don’t hear much about the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat nowadays, especially with all the electric cars that have come out since its introduction roughly five years ago soaking up all the limelight.
Yet, it was the Hellcat that “broke the internet” like few other models before it back when it was introduced, as well as years into its life cycle. The sheer gimmick of needing a separate key to unlock its entire potential made this a fascinating vehicle.
Of course, the beating heart of the Hellcat, be it the Challenger or the Charger, was always its 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V8 engine, rated at 707 HP and 650 lb-ft (881 Nm) of torque. That grunt can be accessed only via the car’s red fob, whereas the normal black fog will limit the engine to “just” 500 HP.
At its best, the Challenger Hellcat was and still is a 10-second car, capable of hitting 60 mph (96 km/h) from a standstill in just 3.6 seconds.
With this one, we’re looking at a car that’s done just 2,000 miles (3,220 km) according to its Bring a Trailer ad, boasting a somewhat understated Bright White exterior (no stripes) with 20-inch Satin Black forged aluminum wheels. Inside, there’s plenty of leather and Alcantara, as well as white contrast stitching and SRT backrest logos.
Other features include the 18-spear sound system, keyless entry with push-button start, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, red seat belts and plenty more. We’ve put the full spec sheet in the gallery below so you can see exactly what this Hellcat brings to the table.
As for the 6-speed manual transmission, some of you will consider that to be quite appealing. It basically makes this a no nonsense type of car, since driving it won’t be as easy as just flooring the throttle while resting your left foot.
